The DPRK representative successively won by a large margin against Master FC (Laos), RTC FC (Bhutan)... scoring a total of 23 goals and not conceding any goals to win the right to enter the group stage.
In the group stage, Naegohyang Women's FC continued to maintain stable form. On the side of the Ho Chi Minh City women's club, coach Kim Chi's team closed the group stage of the AFC Women's Champions League 2025-2026 with second place in Group A. This achievement helps the team representing Vietnam to reach the quarter-finals of the most prestigious women's club tournament in Asia for the second consecutive time.
Compared to the previous season, the Ho Chi Minh City women's team continued to pass the group stage but there was a change in the seed group classification. In the 2024-2025 season, the Vietnamese team was ranked in the No. 1 seed group thanks to good goal difference. However, in the 2025-2026 season, the Ho Chi Minh City women's team was in the No. 2 seed group because the goal difference was lower than Naegohyang Women's FC.
The quarter-final matches will take place in two days, March 28 and 29, 2026, at home of the teams belonging to the No. 1 seed group. The four winning teams will qualify for the centralized finals, where the semi-finals and finals will be held in a knockout format from May 20 to 23, 2026 at the venue announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) later.
