The host team Thailand lost 0-3 to Japan, so they stopped at round 1/16. The Chinese team lost 1-3 to France in the match on the evening of August 31. Japan is the remaining Asian representative to reach the quarter-finals. This team will play against the Netherlands on September 3
Currently, the tournament has determined 6 teams with good chances to enter the quarter-finals including the Netherlands, Japan, Italy, Poland, Brazil, France. The remaining two teams will decide after the results of the competition between the US and Canada, Turkey and Slovenia on September 1.
The 2025 World Volleyball Championship will take place in Thailand from August 22 to September 7. The teams representing Asia this time include Thailand (host), China, Japan and Vietnam.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team stopped at the group stage when losing to Poland, Germany and Kenya. The team has returned home. This is the first time the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team has participated in the World Championship.
The Thai and Vietnamese teams will continue to prepare professionally for the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of this year in Thailand. The host team Thailand is the current SEA Games champion while the Vietnamese team is the current runner-up.
