Professional stepping stone
The Vietnam women's volleyball team will participate in the 2025 World Championship and the Vietnam U21 women's team will compete in the U21 World Volleyball Championship.
For the first time, Vietnamese volleyball has two national teams participating in the world tournament at the same time. The status of Vietnamese volleyball has increased positively from here.
The World Volleyball Championship is always different from other tournaments. Not only the players, but the coaching staff also learned many things after participating in the tournament in Thailand, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared.
Many professional reviews of the results of the three losses at the World Championship of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. However, it must be seen that coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team's official participation in the 2025 world tournament is a success.
Previously, we have never won a place in a world tournament. The team must be in the top 3 of the Asian Championship to get the above opportunity. Participating in the 2025 World Championship opens up many professional lessons for our players, Mr. Kiet added.
Coach Nguyen Trong Linh of the Vietnam U21 Women's Team expressed that his students' competition against many big opponents helped increase their confidence.
The Vietnam U21 Women's Volleyball Team and the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team have different competition results. From professional practice, the manager of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation clearly understands that Vietnamese volleyball builds a good image.
But sports must continue to be invested in better to extend their achievements and gain the opportunity to participate in world competitions.
The key goal is the SEA Games gold medal
This year, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team will be trained in two phases for about seven months.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team participated in five international tournaments in the first phase of the 2025 training session (including the 2025 World Championship).
The goal is for the team to review the force and perfect the playing style to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. The Vietnam women's volleyball team was tasked with winning the 33rd SEA Games Gold Medal from the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports.
Sports expert Nguyen Hong Minh - former Director of the Department of High Performance Sports 1, General Department of Physical Education and Sports - once shared: "Vocation is a collective sport. Investing to find results is different from individual sports.
Vietnamese volleyball always has to make the highest efforts to find opportunities to win a medal in Southeast Asia or Asia. We understand the characteristics of such a collective sport.
Two years ago, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team made its first international appearance at the 2023 FIVB Challenge Cup. From here, Vietnamese players have to abandon their inferiority complex as losers against regional opponents because of few opportunities to compete internationally.
Last year, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team won third place in the 2024 FIVB Challenge Cup. This year, the team played confidently against many strong opponents such as Spain, Poland, Germany and Kenya.
General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation - Mr. Le Tri Truong - said: "The goal of winning the 33rd SEA Games medal is still the key of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. Preparation for the team, through participating in international tournaments, so that players can build the best spirit and expertise".
October will be the second training period for the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team. The Vietnam Volleyball Federation plans to bring the team to practice in Japan to improve their skills and then go to Thailand to compete in the 33rd SEA Games.
