On September 22, Dong Nai announced the disciplinary measures for two defenders Le Van Son and Huynh Tan Sinh after the match against Hanoi Police in round 3 of V.League 2026-2027.
In the match taking place on September 20th at Binh Phuoc stadium, Le Van Son received a red card in the 16th minute after elbowing Dinh Bac. In the 78th minute, Huynh Tan Sinh had two consecutive tackles from behind on the Hanoi Police striker and only received a yellow card from FIFA referee Le Vu Linh.
These situations then received many reactions from fans. Dong Nai said that immediately after the match, the team's leadership directly worked with the whole team, requesting the players to maintain discipline, control emotions and not let personal behavior affect the overall image.
After considering the situations on the field, the Dong Nai leadership decided to fine Le Van Son and Huynh Tan Sinh 20 million VND each.
Huynh Tan Sinh was suspended from internal competition for 1 match. The two players also admitted their shortcomings to the leadership, coaching staff and teammates, and committed to learning from experience and adjusting their behavior in the coming time.
Dong Nai said that uncontrolled behaviors that affect teammates, opponents and the team's image are not acceptable. The team also sets requirements for discipline and beautiful fighting spirit in the process of participating in V.League 2026-2027.
In addition to internal penalties, Dong Nai, on behalf of Le Van Son and Huynh Tan Sinh, apologized to Dinh Bac and Hanoi Police for the unfortunate situations that occurred in the match.
Internal handling is identified by Dong Nai as part of the requirement to rectify discipline, and at the same time remind players of their responsibility when wearing the team's jersey.
