On June 28, the People's Committee of Uong Bi ward coordinated with the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association to organize the Thanh Dang - Binh Huong Off-road Running Tournament 2026.
The race attracted nearly 1,000 athletes from inside and outside the province to participate.
This is an activity within a series of events to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the establishment of Uong Bi ward and the 1st anniversary of the operation of the two-level local government model; contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports among the people.
At the tournament, athletes competed in 2 distances of 5km and 15km.
15km distance starts from 5am; 5km distance starts from 6am.
The running route passes through the Lung Xanh - Thanh Dang - Binh Huong area, with forest, hill, and slope terrain, creating challenges in terms of endurance and skills for athletes.
At the end of the competition events, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to athletes with outstanding achievements. In the 15km distance, the prizes were awarded to the top 10 men and top 10 women; in the 5km distance, the prizes were awarded to the top 5 men and top 5 women.
The Thanh Dang - Binh Huong off-road race in 2026 is expected by the locality to contribute to forming more sports tourism products associated with nature, building the image of Uong Bi ward as a green and dynamic destination of Quang Ninh province.
