Next year, the 10th National Sports Festival - 2026, will be held. Volleyball is included in the Congress's program. Normally, in years of the National Sports Festival, the Volleyball Federation will organize a National Championship with 1 stage.
However, in 2026, the professional department of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation still wants to organize the National Championship in 2 phases as at present. Because the National Volleyball Team can participate in the 20th ASIAD (held in Japan in 2026), players need to be given more conditions to compete in the National Championship to improve their skills.
The 2025 National Volleyball Championship will be held in the first phase at the end of March. The second phase will compete in October. This year, the national volleyball teams will participate in the 33rd SEA Games in December. Therefore, the 2025 National Championship ends in October so that the teams have enough time to prepare professionally for the 33rd SEA Games.
3 years ago, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation organized the 2022 National Championship for only 1 phase. At that time, the sports industry will organize the 9th National Sports Festival - 2022.
