Sharing with the media after the match, coach Okiyama Masahiko said: "First of all, we have won two, thereby completing the goal of winning a ticket to the final round. The team played with focus and did not concede in both matches. I am very proud of the fighting spirit and efforts of the whole team.
The player who scored the only goal in the final match against Hong Kong (China), Hai Yen, could not hide her joy: "I am very happy that the team has entered the next round. The whole team had prepared carefully for the match and everyone tried their best. There were times when we didn't understand each other, but we discussed to coordinate better in attack and get a goal."
Revealing the instructions of coach Okiyama Masahiko during the break, Hai Yen shared: "Teacher said if you try, you can do it. The team always plays with the spirit of never giving up. If the whole team is united, there will be good results. We have many opportunities but have not taken advantage of them all. I am very proud to have brought victory to the team.

Hai Yen also emphasized that the training trip in Germany before the tournament is a valuable baggage to help the team mature: "From the beginning, the whole team was determined to continue. The trip to Germany helped us learn a lot of experience when competing with the big sisters. After the tournament, anyone who returns to the club will continue to improve themselves, try to overcome their weaknesses to do better in the next training session".
With this result, the Vietnam U17 women's team became the 5th team of Vietnamese football to qualify for the continental finals up to this year, after the U20 women's team, women's team, futsal team and national U23 team.

In the remaining period of 2025, Vietnam football still has the national U17 men's team that will participate in the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers in November and is currently focusing on training. With the determination to win tickets to the 2026 U17 Asian Men's Championship, the Vietnam Football Federation will continue to increase investment in the team, including a training trip in Japan to improve the professional quality and international competitive spirit of the young players.
