Speaking at the press conference, coach Okiyama Masahiko of the Vietnam U17 women's team said he was satisfied with the recent preparation process, especially the training trip in Germany.
U17 Vietnam women's team had a good opportunity to approach the high-class football scene of Germany, thereby learning a lot about speed and height. We appreciate their playing style. This training trip helps the players learn many useful experiences, the Japanese coach shared.

Before the opening match against U17 Women's Guam, Mr. Okiyama admitted that the coaching staff did not have much information about the opponent but affirmed that the whole team will be flexible in handling changes during the competition.
"The coaching staff does not have much information about the opponents, but we will both compete and analyze the opponents to make appropriate adjustments. The U17 Vietnam women's team will try their best in each match," he said.
Coach Okiyama also called on fans to come to the stadium to support the young players: "We hope the audience will come to the stadium to support the young players. U17 Vietnam women's team will try to show beautiful playing style and give the audience good matches".
Captain Tran Thi An also expressed the determination of the entire team: "U17 Vietnam women's team has made many improvements in the past time and will try our best to get the best results".
According to the match schedule, U17 Vietnam women's team will face U17 Guam women's team in the opening match of Group D at 4:00 p.m. on October 13 at Binh Duong Stadium (HCMC).
