According to Lao Dong newspaper's information, head coach Le Thi Hien of the Vietnam U18 Women's Volleyball Team suddenly resigned from training. Currently, the professional management level of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation is considering that coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa will take on this role.
Coach Le Thi Hien's wish has been approved by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports.
However, the decision to appoint the new head coach of the Vietnam U18 Women's Volleyball Team has not been issued.
Before requesting to withdraw from work, coach Le Thi Hien completed the proposal for 14 official players of the Vietnam U18 Women's Volleyball Team to go to Thailand to participate in the 2026 Southeast Asian U18 Championship (from June 23 to June 28) and the 2026 AFC U18 Championship (from July 1 to July 7).
Coach Ngoc Hoa is participating with the Vietnamese women's volleyball team in the AVC Cup 2026 in the Philippines. This tournament ends on June 14.
The Vietnam U18 women's team is training at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports with 14 players.
Coaches Vu Thi Hoa and Dinh Van Dai are in charge of coaching after head coach Le Thi Hien asked to withdraw. The team still maintains a stable spirit and is planned to go to Thailand on June 21.
In fact, the professional program and the building of the player force and coaching staff are all undertaken by the head coach of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team - Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet.
