At the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation for the VIII term (2026-2031) this morning (April 28), Mr. Duong Manh Tien was elected as Chairman.
Sharing after the team meeting, the new VFV Chairman said: "I feel very happy to be elected Chairman in the 2026-2031 term. This is a great honor but also a very heavy responsibility.
Over the past time, Vietnamese volleyball has achieved many successes. However, in the next term, we want to make national volleyball even more successful and achieve the results set out by the executive committee".
One of the contents emphasized by Mr. Duong Manh Tien is raising the level of the domestic competition system to become a sporting product with commercial value.
I was just elected today and I also need time to research. However, I want to say one thing that I am sure will do, which is that I want to turn volleyball tournaments into a product. Because when you have a product, you can bring in more revenue.
Therefore, in the near future, I will definitely do this task immediately, turning all my tournaments into a good sports product. From there, I believe that revenue will increase even more," the new Chairman of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation said.

He also added: "If we want tournaments to truly become products, we should not follow the simple way of calling for sponsorship, but must invite partners to participate in cooperation and create value together. When there is a good product, commercial exploitation will be more effective. I believe that revenue will increase significantly, because current social resources are very large.
Currently, only a few brands are participating, while fields such as finance, banking or many other industries have a need to accompany products that are attractive enough, instead of just providing short-term support. With this approach, I believe that the revenue of Vietnamese volleyball will be clearly improved.
This approach shows the shift from a sponsorship-dependent model to building internal commercial value for the tournament. When volleyball tournaments are organized as a complete "product", from images, media to audience experience, revenue can come from many different channels.
The new direction of the leadership is expected to create a foundation for Vietnamese volleyball to expand its scale, improve the quality of the national championship and attract more social resources in the coming years.
