The tournament is a national high-level achievement sports event organized by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports in coordination with the Vietnam Cycling and Motorcycling Federation and the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's tournament gathers 12 delegations from provinces, cities, sectors and strong cycling clubs across the country. Nearly 200 athletes will compete in road cycling and off-road cycling events.
Accompanying the tournament are 30 large displacement motorcycles participating in leading the delegation, supporting operation, ensuring traffic safety and increasing the attractiveness of the race legs.
The competitions are held on roads in Nghia Lo and Central wards. Diverse terrain and unique natural landscapes are expected to create fierce competition, while contributing to promoting the image of tourism, culture and people of Lao Cai to a large number of fans.

Up to now, preparations for the tournament are being synchronously deployed by relevant units. The racetrack system, facilities, professional work, security and order, health, logistics and communication are being reviewed and completed to ensure the tournament takes place safely and on schedule.
The host team Lao Cai participated in the tournament with 19 athletes. From June 11, the cyclists entered a training session in Nghia Lo ward to improve physical strength, technique and tactics, aiming for high achievements at home.
The 2026 National Club Road and Off-road Cycling Championship is expected to bring exciting races, contributing to promoting the cycling training and competition movement, and at the same time promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly and culturally rich Lao Cai.
