The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has won all three matches in Group A of the AVC Nations Cup 2025. This result helped coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team win a ticket to the semi-finals one match early with the top spot in the group.
Notably, with a 3-0 victory over India (evening of June 11), the Vietnam team was added 3.98 points, thereby reaching 127.23 points and rising to 29th place on the world volleyball rankings. This is the best achievement of Vietnamese women's volleyball ever.
In the final match of the group stage, Thanh Thuy and her teammates will face Australia. The opponent has lost 2 and won 1 match, ranking 4th/5 in Group A.
In terms of strength and performance, the Vietnamese girls are still considered superior to their opponents. Therefore, it is likely that coach Tuan Kiet will continue to give opportunities to many players to play, experiment with tactics but still aim for a big win against this opponent.
