According to Mr. Tran Cong Tu - Director of the Da Nang City Sports Center, for many years Da Nang has always been chosen to host national boat races thanks to natural conditions and favorable infrastructure. These tournaments have contributed to affirming their prestige and professional quality, while making Da Nang a center for organizing, training and developing the country's marine sports movement.
"The static Cheo game movement in Da Nang has developed strongly in recent years, becoming a familiar activity for people and tourists. This tournament not only attracts more localities to participate but also contributes to widely promoting marine sports, associated with the goal of developing tourism and the marine economy of the city.
The tournament aims to promote the training movement in the community, especially among young people. Create a playground for young athletes to compete and help units and localities evaluate training and coaching work; at the same time, select promising athletes to supplement national teams to prepare for international tournaments in the coming time", said Mr. Tu.
