The coaching staff of the Vietnamese Youth Badminton Team has selected Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen to participate in the women's singles event at the 2026 Asian Youth Badminton Championships. In the women's singles event, we also have player Pham Thi Truc An participating.
The 2026 Asian Junior Badminton Championships takes place in Japan from July 1st to July 7th.
The competition program is for players aged U19. In the men's singles event, the Vietnamese youth badminton team registered players Nguyen Tat Duy Loi, Nguyen Dinh Dat and Lo Trieu Huy to participate.
In the recent 2026 National Youth Badminton Championships in Ninh Binh, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen won the women's singles championship and Nguyen Tat Duy Loi won the men's singles championship.
After the 2026 National Youth Badminton Championships, the players of the Vietnam Youth Badminton Team have returned to training in Bac Ninh. The goal that the players aim for at this year's tournament in Japan is to strive to achieve the highest results.
On the BWF world rankings, Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen is holding the 327th position in women's singles.
In the junior badminton rankings, Thu Huyen is ranked 54th in women's singles. Last year, Thu Huyen participated in the 2025 Asian Junior Badminton Championships, but she did not win a medal in the women's singles event.
