With the Vietnamese players, Nguyen Van Huynh maintained a stable performance when he overcame Hoang Thai Duy and Kengo Suzuki to go deep in the winning branch. Ho So Phat also impressed when defeating Dinh Thanh Trung and Ma Chenchao (China).
Meanwhile, Nguyen Bao Chau won consecutively against Luong Duc Thien, Ngo Xuan Linh and especially the comeback of Koki Sugiyama (Japan) to participate in the ticket round for the final round for the winning branch.
