The sports industry decided not to send the Vietnam Billiards Team to compete in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand. The Vietnam Billiards & snooker Federation and the billiards department (Department of Physical Education and Sports) have analyzed professional factors according to the competition content to advise the leaders of the Department of Physical Education and Sports.
We predict that Vietnamese players will not be able to win gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games in 10 competitions. The Thai Organizing Committee only included the British billiards and snooker events in the competition. Carom and pool events will not be included in the competition at the 33rd SEA Games.
2 years ago, the Vietnam Billiards Team won 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 3 bronze medals at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
The group of players who won medals in the above competition included Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu, Nguyen Duc Anh Chien, Le Thi Ngoc Hue, Phung Kien Tuong, Nguyen Hoang Yen Nhi, Ta Van Linh, Nguyen Anh Tuan. In which, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu won the gold medal for men's 3-cushion carom while Le Thi Ngoc Hue won the gold medal for women's 1-cushion carom.
The 33rd SEA Games billiards will take place from December 10 to 18 in Chonburi city (Thailand). This year, the Vietnamese billiards team participated in the 2025 World Games in China but did not have any medals. At this time, many players are participating in the Youth Carom Championship and the 2025 National Cup Championship in Lam Dong.
