In the 37th minute of the match between Man City and Liverpool in round 4 of the Premier League, striker Sadio Mane of the away team had a very rough raise with goalkeeper Ederson of Man City.
In the close-up photo above, it can be seen that Ederson's face was completely covered with Mane's shoe with great force (due to the two sides rushing into each other in the air). Mane was sent off red-handed and promised to receive more disciplinary action after this match.
After the collision and a few first aid moves by medical staff right on the field, Ederson was taken to the Manchester Medical Institute. Here, he was diagnosed with facial deformities. Although he showed no signs of brain or nerve damage, Ederson underwent facial bone tests immediately after being hospitalized.
The player who came on to replace Ederson was Bravo, who enjoyed a 5-0 victory over Liverpool with his teammates and temporarily climbed to the top of the rankings, 1 point above M.U.
As for Liverpool, after this terrible defeat, they must prepare for the mentality of losing Mane for at least the next 3 matches because the act of kicking the opponent's face is unacceptable.
