The tournament takes place from July 19 to August 9 in Son La, organized by the Vietnam Football Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La province.
This year's tournament has the participation of 4 teams including Phong Phu Ha Nam, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the host team Son La, with more than 100 athletes. The teams compete in a two-round format (first and second legs) to calculate points and rank.
During the competition, the teams brought many attractive and dramatic matches, showing enthusiastic fighting spirit and high determination.
Young players also have the opportunity to rub shoulders, accumulate experience, thereby contributing to discovering and nurturing talents for Vietnamese women's football.
At the end of the tournament, U16 Phong Phu Ha Nam won the championship. U16 Hanoi ranked second, while the home team U16 Son La won third place.
The selection of Son La to host the tournament contributes to creating a useful playground for young players, while promoting the local image and promoting the women's football movement in the area.
The tournament also continues to affirm the interest and investment in youth women's football, aiming to build a successor force for Vietnamese women's football.
