33rd SEA Games marks a historic milestone for coach Kim Sang-sik

Coach Kim Sang-sik set a historic milestone for Vietnamese football when he won all three regional titles, including the SEA Games gold medal.

Coach Kim Sang-sik has created a special milestone for Vietnamese football when he became the first coach to win all three titles including U23 Southeast Asia, ASEAN Cup and SEA Games. This achievement was established after U22 Vietnam won the men's football championship at the SEA Games, concluding a stable and effective competition journey.

Under the leadership of coach Kim Sang-sik, the Vietnamese teams showed disciplined play, a balance between defense and attack, while maintaining their mettle in decisive matches. Before the SEA Games, the Korean strategist and Vietnamese football were crowned at the U23 Southeast Asian tournament and the ASEAN Cup, thereby completing a collection of regional titles that no previous coach had been able to do.

This SEA Games championship also marks a remarkable milestone in terms of personnel when Viktor Le became the first overseas Vietnamese player to win a SEA Games gold medal in the history of Vietnamese men's football. The midfielder born in 2003 showed good integration in his expertise and actively contributed to the overall playing style of the whole team.

The historical marks of coaches Kim Sang-sik and Viktor Le not only reflect the success in terms of achievements, but also show a new direction for Vietnamese football in coaching and using forces, especially at the youth team and national team levels.
