Prime Minister congratulates U22 Vietnam and the Women's Futsal Team for winning the SEA Games Gold Medal

The Prime Minister sent a letter of congratulations to U22 Vietnam and the Vietnam National Women's Futsal Team for winning the Gold Medal at the 33rd SEA Games.

On the evening of December 18, right after the U22 Men's Football Team and the Vietnam National Futsal Women's Team excellently won the SEA Games 33 Gold Medal, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a letter of congratulations to the wonderful achievements of the coaching staff and the teams.

On behalf of the Government and football fans of the country, the Prime Minister warmly congratulated the coaching staff, the entire National U22 Men's Football Team and the National Futsal Women's Team for their steadfast competition and excellent achievement in winning the SEA Games 33 Gold Medal.

The head of the Government emphasized that this is a great achievement, recognizing the efforts and dedication of the teams throughout the journey at the 33rd SEA Games.

2025 is a successful year for Vietnamese football with the Southeast Asian championship in January of the National Men's Team; the 3rd consecutive U23 Southeast Asian championship in July.

The national women's football team won the Silver Medal at the 33rd SEA Games yesterday; The national women's futsal team and the national U22 men's football team won the Gold Medal today at the 33rd SEA Games.

Each match showed their mettle and enthusiasm, bearing the strong mark of the "Golden Star Warriors" with a brave spirit, strong will and the desire to rise up strongly.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the determination and tireless efforts of the coaching staff and the teams; at the same time, he respectfully thanked the attention, close coordination, and active support of agencies and organizations, especially the wholehearted support and encouragement of millions of fans for our teams.

In the coming time, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue to focus on directing the Vietnam Football Federation to invest with focus and key points, creating all favorable conditions for the National U22 Men's Football Team and the National Futsal Women's Team in particular, Vietnamese football in general to increasingly improve the quality of expertise, competitive spirit and reap more success in regional, continental and international arenas.

"We hope and believe that the coaching staff and all of the Vietnam National Football Teams will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, joint efforts, consensus, determination, maintaining the belief, the spirit of dedication, responsibility and nobility, all for the national flag and the affection and trust of fans and people nationwide, bringing glory to the Fatherland," the Prime Minister expressed in the letter.

Finally, the Prime Minister wished the National U22 Men's Football Team and the National Futsal Women's Team continued to reap more success in the coming time!
