On the morning of February 20 (4th day of Tet) at Mui Ne sand dunes, Mui Ne Ward People's Committee (Lam Dong province) organized the Mui Ne Sand Dunes Running Race. This is a sports race held annually at the beginning of the new spring, attracting many athletes to participate.

From early morning of the same day, a large number of people and tourists gathered at Mui Ne sand dunes to watch the opening ceremony and cheer for the athletes competing, creating a lively atmosphere.

Mr. Pham Van Nam - Secretary of Mui Ne ward said that the Mui Ne Sand Dunes Running Race has been maintained for more than 25 years. Previously, the race was organized by the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city (old).
After arranging administrative units, there is no longer a city level, so the People's Committee of Mui Ne ward maintains the organization to create a spring sports playground for people, combined with tourism promotion.

This year, the tournament attracted 232 athletes from Mui Ne ward and many communes and wards in the province, along with 2 foreign tourists registering to participate.
After the whistle signal, the athletes' runs across the sand dunes. Sand subsides, steep terrain and early sunshine are typical challenges of the race, requiring athletes to have endurance and technique.

On both sides of the runway, fans stood crowded to cheer, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the journey.
The organizing committee stipulates separate distances for male and female athletes. After completing the prescribed distance, the athletes will finish in turn. At the end of the tournament, the organizing committee awards individual, team and team prizes for the male and female categories.
Not only a sports activity, the race also aims to encourage health training in the residential community and tourists.

In the warm sunshine of the beginning of the year, sand dunes echoed with cheers, opening the new year with a spirit of active movement. The event contributed to maintaining the sports movement, and at the same time introduced the beauty of nature and local people to tourists from near and far.
