Driver violates alcohol concentration, no driver's license while carrying dozens of passengers

Quang Tri - Functional forces are handling a driver who violated alcohol concentration and did not have a driver's license while carrying dozens of passengers to Ho Chi Minh City.

On February 21, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police said it was completing the file to handle a case of a passenger car driver violating alcohol concentration and not having a driver's license.

Previously, at about 4 pm on February 20, Dakrong Traffic Police Station stopped to inspect a passenger car with license plate 36B-016. xx, a 42-seater type, traveling through the area.

Through inspection, functional forces determined that the driver of the vehicle was Pham Ba Thang (born in 1983, residing in Truong Son commune, Thanh Hoa province) who could not present a driver's license as prescribed.

Conducting alcohol concentration measurements, the results showed that driver Thang had a level of 0.092 mg/liter of breath.

Dakrong Traffic Police Station made a record of administrative violation, temporarily seized the vehicle for handling according to regulations. At the same time, requested the bus company to arrange other vehicles to replace it to carry 41 passengers to continue their journey to Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police, for two violations including driving a vehicle with alcohol concentration and without a driver's license, the driver and vehicle owner were fined a total amount of over 80 million VND.
