Currently, I am still very passionate, want to contribute and continue to play," the goalkeeper born in 1986 expressed.
This season, Tan Truong continues to play an important role in the promotion journey of the Southeast team. He started 15 out of 21 matches, conceding only 13 goals and making a great contribution to helping Truong Tuoi Dong Nai win 50 points to win the championship.
Although he has turned 40, the former goalkeeper of the Vietnamese national team still maintains good physical condition, stable reflexes and rich experience after nearly two decades of professional competition.
In his career, Tan Truong has won many notable titles such as the First Division championship with Dong Thap in 2006, V.League titles with Becamex Binh Duong and Hanoi FC, National Cup, National Super Cup and the Vietnamese Bronze Ball title in 2009.
After completing the promotion goal with Dong Nai, the goalkeeper from Dong Thap also shared his special feelings for the team and the land where he is attached: "Actually, I have been here for more than two years to do this. I can feel the enthusiasm and determination of Chairman Pham Huong Son for the club as well as the players.
I have played in many places such as Hanoi, Binh Duong or Ho Chi Minh City. When I first came here, I was a little sad, but after a while, I felt human kindness and sincerity in this land. Gentle and peaceful life makes me want to stick with it for a long time.
According to this veteran goalkeeper, the leadership's determination to develop the team is one of the factors that helps him have more motivation to play.
I feel great determination from the club. Personally, I want to continue to contribute, especially to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai," he affirmed.
If he continues to play in the 2026-2027 season, Tan Truong will become one of the oldest players in the V.League. At the same time, fans can also look forward to his return to the highest level of Vietnamese football alongside experienced teammates like Cong Phuong in the Truong Tuoi Dong Nai jersey.
