On the evening of November 9, a series of Vietnamese volleyball news sites reported that the main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy had left the Kuzeyboru team (Türkiye). The reason given was that after a period of training and competing with this team, she was not able to achieve good performance after an injury. Therefore, Thanh Thuy and the club decided to terminate the contract.
On the evening of November 9, Kuzeyboru competed with Sariyer in the 2024-2025 Turkish National Championship. This team won easily 3-0. However, Thanh Thuy did not appear in either the reserve or the official lineup, making fans believe more in the previous speculations.
According to the above information, Thanh Thuy will return to Vietnam in the near future.
Currently, the Kuzeyboru team's homepage as well as Thanh Thuy's home club, VTV Binh Dien Long An, have not made any official announcement.
A few days ago, the Turkish website Voleybol Mac Linkleri published an article sharing that main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy had left the Kuzeyboru women's volleyball club due to health problems.
This news site stated: "Vietnamese hitter 4T (Tran Thi Thanh Thuy) of Kuzeyboru has left the team due to a shoulder injury. This player has not had much playing time since the beginning of the season and also has a heart condition. Kuzeyboru Club will soon have an official announcement."
The Binh Duong-born striker joined the Kuzeyboru team from the beginning of the 2024-2025 season. In the Turkish national championship, Kuzeyboru played 7 matches but the main striker of Vietnam has not been appreciated by head coach Mehmet. Thanh Thuy only played 1/7 matches. That was the loss against Vakifbank and her playing time was not much, she has not had the opportunity to prove her ability.
In the most recent match when Kuzeyboru played in the CEV Cup - European Volleyball Cup C2, the Vietnamese hitter played a full set and scored 4 points for the team. Coach Mehmet used her in the opposite position instead of the main attacker as her forte.
Up to this point, although information about leaving Kuzeyboru has not been confirmed, it can be said that the trip to Europe is considered the most unsuccessful trip abroad in Tran Thi Thanh Thuy's journey to compete abroad.
