Thanh Thuy's problem
Striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is currently competing in the Turkish National Volleyball Championship. After 5 matches, the Vietnamese hitter has only been on the field for a modest number of minutes.
Coach Thai Quang Lai of VTV Binh Dien Long An - Thanh Thuy's home team - said that the injury has made it difficult for Thanh Thuy to regain her form like in 2023.
Mr. Lai shared: "When suffering from a knee injury, it is difficult for all athletes to compete. At the VTV9 - Binh Dien Cup 2024, Thuy really tried hard but could not jump because she was still in pain.
Thanh Thuy has also been treated in Vietnam, but personally I think her injury has not yet recovered, so Thuy has not been able to play much in Türkiye. If Thanh Thuy recovers, I am sure she will be in the main squad to compete in Türkiye."
Thu Hoai is about to get married
According to head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet (VietinBank), setter Nguyen Thu Hoai will get married this coming November. Therefore, she is currently practicing for the second phase of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship while preparing with her family for the big day.
Mr. Kiet said that this could cause Thu Hoai to lose focus in terms of expertise, but the coaching staff of the VietinBank women's team completely sympathized because this was an important matter.
To find a backup plan for Thu Hoai, VietinBank has added a setter by borrowing Van Ha from Kinh Bac Bac Ninh. The female athlete born in 2005 was a student of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet when she participated in the VTV9 Binh Dien tournament in the U20 Vietnam team.
VTV Binh Dien Long An foreign player likes Vietnamese food
Foreign player Joyce Agbolossou of VTV Binh Dien Long An is having physical problems while preparing for phase 2 of the 2024 national championship. However, she still tries to complete the exercises, showing her quick integration into the new environment.

"The food in Vietnam is really great. I could eat it every day without getting bored. I feel satisfied with everything. The time is quite short so I haven't tried many dishes here, but if I had to choose my favorite dish, it would definitely be grilled meat," said Joyce Agbolossou.
