The Porto Cup 2025 3-cushion carom billiards tournament will take place from June 29 to July 5. The tournament is based on the latest rankings of the World Carom Billiard Federation (UMB) as of March this year.
According to this ranking, Tran Quyet Chien is currently ranked 4th in the world and is given a special right place in the main round, which is round of 32 players. According to the match schedule, he will start on the afternoon of July 3 (Vietnam time).
In addition to Tran Quyet Chien, Vietnam also has 2 other players, Tran Thanh Luc (ranked 5) and Bao Phuong Vinh (ranked 14) who were also given special status in the main round.
Chiem Hong Thai (ranked 15th) was not in the top 14 players but still qualified for the round of 32 thanks to a replacement for Kim Jun-tae from Korea, who has moved to compete in the PBA professional tournament system.
