The Vietnam women's volleyball team has increased its ranking to 22nd place on the FIVB world volleyball rankings.
Currently, we have 155.79 points on the rankings. The Vietnam women's volleyball team has approached the Thailand women's volleyball team (ranked 21st in the world, 160.42 points).
The FIVB Volleyball World Federation accepted the competition results in two stages of the 2025 SEA V.League to be counted on the rankings. We won two matches in the second stage held in Ninh Binh (Vietnam) so our score is increased.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team will meet Thailand on August 10 to compete for the number one position in the second phase of the 2025 SEA V.League. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that our 22nd world ranking is a great encouragement in spirit, but the reality of playing on the field is a specific result.
Currently, the Italian women's volleyball team is ranked number one in the world and Brazil is ranked second. The Polish women's team is ranked third in the world. We will have the opportunity to meet the Polish women's team at the 2025 World Championship because we are in the same group.
In history, the 22nd place is the best position that Vietnamese women's volleyball has achieved on the world rankings. Last year, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team won third place in the 2024 FIVB Challenge Cup.
