The only goal of the match was scored by Krit Aransanyalak in the 36th minute. This result put the Vietnamese futsal team in second place in Group B with 6 points after 3 matches and had to face the top team in Group A in the quarter-finals.
In the match against Thailand, the Vietnam futsal team had a tight first half, organized disciplined defense and created many dangerous opportunities.
