The event is organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with Hanoi City People's Committee, with the theme "Vibrant Light - Brilliant Light", celebrating the success of the 14th National Party Congress, and welcoming the new year Binh Ngo 2026, sending a message of faith and aspiration for development in the moment of stepping into the new year.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Comrade Le Quoc Minh emphasized: "Through the combination of symphonic music, contemporary pop music and modern lighting performance technology right in front of the Hanoi Opera House, the Organizing Committee wishes to bring the Capital's public and tourists a special spiritual feast.
The program is also a tribute, a deep thank you to compatriots and soldiers across the country who have always accompanied, trusted and made efforts to contribute to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland".
With a duration of more than two hours, the "Light Concert - Welcoming the New Year 2026" is elaborately staged, structured tightly into three chapters: Light of Belief - Sparkling Dawn - Brilliant Vietnam.
The program leads the audience from the depth of tradition, through the youthful movements of contemporary life, to close with an optimistic, bright spirit, representing the image of a Vietnam that is constantly developing.
The program opened with a light performance combined with modern technology, creating a strong visual effect right on the facade of the Hanoi Opera House.
The LED grid movement system, multi-layered flight deck and large-scale performance structures are operated synchronously, opening up a new expressive space, where heritage architecture becomes part of the stage.
Chapter I - Light of Belief has a solemn color, rich in symbolism. The performances are selected and newly orchestrated, combining traditional music, chính ca music and modern breath, contributing to depicting the belief, solidarity and aspiration to rise up of the nation.
The participation of artists such as Hoang Quyen, Dong Hung and a cast of young artists creates performances that are both solemn, close, and emotional.
Moving to Chapter II - Sparkling Dawn, the program atmosphere becomes younger and fresher. Folk materials such as ca tru, xam are brought to the stage in contemporary music language, combined with EDM and modern dance, creating a transition between tradition and present.
This is also a program part that leaves a strong impression with the performances of Lam Truong and Quan A.P. In particular, the 4-season medley duet of the duo made the square atmosphere become lively and emotional.
Chapter III - Brilliant Vietnam closes the program with an optimistic, modern and energetic spirit. The appearance of young artists such as buitruonglinh, Phuong Ly, Truc Nhan brings diverse musical colors, reflecting the vibrant pace of contemporary society.
Throughout the show, music plays a central role in leading emotions, while light and technology expand the expressive space, creating new visual layers of meaning.
Not stopping at a concert night, the Light Concert - Welcoming the New Year 2026 is considered the opening highlight for the Hanoi International Light Festival. The program contributes to promoting the image of the Capital - Creative City, promoting tourism development, night economy and cultural industries.
