Asian football still lacks the so-called class
The 2018 World Cup has officially kicked off with many big names in the national team and players from many countries and continents. Asian football has also been present at the World Cup for decades but very few teams have gone far in this biggest football festival on the planet.

And with this strength, Asian football needs to set appropriate goals. To catch up and make great progress, it is still necessary to have more time to accumulate and cannot burn down the stage.
Vietnam should aim to participate in the World Cup
Participating in the World Cup will be a relatively distant future for Vietnam, but that is still a goal that should be set, especially when the 2026 World Cup will increase from 32 to 48 participating teams. We need to have a process of preparation, labor and real effort to achieve the goal because it is the result of many factors, with the participation of many generations.
"The recent generation of U23 is considered by many to be good, but that is good for me, and to compare it with the general level, is it good? This question must be answered through many other tournaments, not just a recent youth tournament. That is just the beginning, not the conclusion yet Commentator Quang Tung analyzed.
If we organize a good young force, participate in many tournaments for many years, there will be compensation and accumulation from one generation to another, in which there will be points that fall on a truly good generation, combined with luck, then we will achieve the set goals.
According to Commentator Quang Tung, the Vietnam national team needs to improve their physical strength, their fighting spirit and performance also need to be improved. "We need to be more persistent in youth training, consolidating the National Championship because it is a good opportunity for the players to develop. So there are many young generations trained with top-notch football foundations to accumulate and create changes in the future".
Regarding this issue, Executive Director of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club Huynh Mau said that Vietnamese football is aiming for a major tournament, reaching out to the world. To make new strides, the operating apparatus needs to have strong changes, leaders must have a long-term vision and strategy.
In the 4.0 era, football cannot be left out, it is necessary to apply technology, take a scientific approach, improve facilities, focus on improving human resources, to create a generation of players with strong physical strength and tactical thinking in competition. Mr. Mau predicted that in 2034, Vietnam will be able to participate in the World Cup.
