On March 29, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that since the beginning of the year, the province has disbursed nearly VND870 billion in public investment capital, reaching 12.4% of the plan, up 2.1% over the previous month.
If calculated according to the capital allocated by the Central Government, the disbursement rate reached 19.5% of the plan, higher than the national average of 12.18%.
Dak Lak is leading in public investment disbursement in the Central Highlands, ranking 4th out of 63 provinces and cities and 6th out of 111 units assigned to implement public investment plans.
Mr. Nguyen Tai Minh - Deputy Director of the Dak Lak Project Management Board - said: "To complete the assigned public investment disbursement, in 2025, the unit will focus on completing the Ho Chi Minh road project, the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot city and the project to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 1".
According to Mr. Minh, these are 2 projects that have been behind schedule for many years and need to be completely resolved and put into operation. The total investment of both projects is more than 3,000 billion VND.
Recording the actual situation at the East bypass of Buon Ma Thuot city, the contractor has begun to deploy the dumping of soil and filling rocks from Km0+000 - Km1+000. This is the remaining road section of the entire route waiting for site clearance and completion of construction.
As for the project to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 1 (from Buon Ma Thuot to Ea Sup district), the investor has requested contractors to take advantage of the sunny overtime to complete the remaining items.

As for component project 3 (belonging to the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot expressway project), in mid-March 2025, the investor, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, achieved nearly 41% of the contract value (total of more than VND 6,165 billion), 16.16% behind schedule.
The reasons for the delay are due to the need for materials not being met, the return of the landfill has not been completed, and the slow relocation of technical infrastructure...
Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - directed units assigned to the land use fee collection plan to urgently carry out their tasks to ensure investment capital for the projects as planned.
Investors quickly reported the situation of completed projects and works that have not been accepted or finalized.
Mr. Thai emphasized that authorities at all levels need to speed up site clearance to soon hand over land to contractors for construction on schedule. Contractors must implement measures to ensure traffic safety during the project construction process.
