The national tournament is an important selection
Phase 2 of the 2025 National Championship will be held from October 7 to October 16. This is the decisive moment of the season to determine the final result, so all Vietnamese female players must show their best expertise. If they achieve high performance, their chances of participating in the 33rd SEA Games will be positive.
At the end of the 2025 World Championship (August 2025), coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet once said that the coaching staff will learn from professional experience. At the same time, each player who participated in the 2025 World Championship has a lesson for themselves. At that time, Mr. Kiet expressed that the force participating in the 33rd SEA Games has not decided and players with high performance in the second phase of the 2025 National Championship will have the opportunity to participate in the national team.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team has trained 20 players to select the best faces to participate in 4 international tournaments (AVC Nations Cup 2025, VTV Cup 2025, SEA V.League 2025, World Championship 2025). 20 players were selected when they competed in good form in the first phase of the 2025 National Championship.
In 2023, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team participating in the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia includes 14 official players: Le Thi Thanh Lien, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Pham Thi Nguyet Anh, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Doan Thi Xuan, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Tran Tu Linh, Ly Thi Luyen, Dinh Thi Tra Giang. Currently, they are still participating in this year's National Volleyball Championship.
However, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet still selects suitable players to build tactics, so the changes of forces are implemented every year.
Vietnam complies with fair play
The Organizing Committee of the 33rd SEA Games volleyball tournament has mandatory health regulations including 10 contents in the Charter for organizing volleyball indoors. In particular, the fourth content of the regulation specifically states: athletes participating in womens content must comply with testing regulations on gender-based disorder when necessary.
The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation affirmed that the national volleyball teams of Vietnam comply with the regulations of the Organizing Committee of the SEA Games and are ready to participate in fair competition.
The withdrawal of player Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen from the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team before leaving for the 2025 World Championship surprised fans. Bich Tuyen has a personal decision and will not participate in the 2025 World Championship. The Vietnam women's volleyball team received the target of winning the SEA Games 33 Gold Medal. The Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the coaching staff of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team are making efforts to prepare to complete the target. The General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation affirmed that the goal of the Gold Medal is pressure but becomes motivation for players to strive to compete.
In 2024, the Vietnam women's team continued to win the championship with a team with Bich Tuyen, however, the main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy did not achieve high performance due to injury. This year, Thanh Thuy and Bich Tuyen will compete officially and we will win the AVC Nations Cup 2025 at home.
