Schizas (22 years old) is a Bachelor of Arts student majoring in Environment and Society. She is in her final year of university program during her participation in the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics.
Previously, this athlete participated in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and was registered by Canada to compete in the women's singles event at this year's Games, expected to start from February 17.

In the dense schedule between training and competing with the team, Schizas missed the deadline for submitting the academic feedback of the week. After realizing the mistake, she sent an email to the lecturer to present the reason and request a short extension.
In the email, Schizas stated that she confused the deadline between Friday and Sunday, and provided a link to the Olympic competition to illustrate her personal schedule.
The email content was publicly disclosed by Schizas on social networks. This is a rare case where an Olympic athlete still maintains his university studies during the competition.
In the team event held on February 6, the Canadian team is ranked 5th, after 3 parts out of a total of 4 parts. According to the format, the top 5 teams will enter the free skating round to compete for medals. With the current position, Canada is still competing, depending on the results of the remaining part.
Schizas is the only representative of Canada in the women's singles figure skating event. After finishing the team competition, she will move on to preparing for her personal schedule.
