On September 11, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation held the 6th Executive Committee meeting. At the meeting, the Executive Committee agreed on the contents related to the work of checking the status and gender of athletes participating in the competition in the official tournament system.
Accordingly, athletes participating in official tournaments of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and clubs must be registered in the system of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
Athletes who are not qualified as confirmed by FIVB will not be allowed to compete until further notice.
The Federation also said that the determination of gender disorders for players will be carried out according to the instructions of FIVB and functional units, to ensure accuracy and transparency in verification.
This regulation will start to be applied from 2026, applying to the entire domestic official competition system.
For national athletes participating in the SEA Games, the status test will be conducted in accordance with the regulations of the SEA Games Organizing Committee and the instructions of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports.
In addition to the above content, the meeting also focused on evaluating the results of implementing the team work plan. The national teams have completed training programs well, fully participated in international tournaments and achieved achievements in line with the set goals.
The Federation is continuing to review and perfect the preparation plan for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, focusing on improving the quality of training and ensuring the necessary conditions for the team.
Regarding the organization of domestic tournaments, activities are implemented on schedule, ensuring professional quality and management.
The Federation also announced the plan to organize the 8th Congress, scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2026. The Congress documents, the summary report for the 7th term and the orientation for the 8th term are being developed in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
