The Asian Volleyball Federation has just unexpectedly awarded a special ticket for VTV Binh Dien Long An team to participate in the AVC Champions League 2026. The tournament will be held in April in Korea.
This is surprising information for domestic volleyball fans as well as the coaching staff of VTV Binh Dien Long An team. At the beginning of February, VTV Binh Dien Long An team had to play a qualifying match in Bangkok (Thailand) against the home team's representative, the Supreme Tip Chonburi-E.Tech team. In the match, coach Ngoc Hoa's team lost.
However, the Asian Volleyball Federation still decided to have an additional special slot for the representative of Vietnamese women's volleyball to compete in the AVC Champions League 2026.
Currently, VTV Binh Dien Long An team is the defending national champion of Vietnam and the runner-up of the AVC Champions League.
The team is currently training in Hanoi. Next week, VTV Binh Dien Long An team will come to Ninh Binh to participate in the Hoa Lu Cup 2026. According to preparation, coach Ngoc Hoa and the players will have enough force to go to Korea to compete in the AVC Champions League 2026.
Thus, Vietnamese volleyball continues to have a female representative to participate in the AVC Champions League 2026 of Asia without losing a spot after the defeat in the Southeast Asian qualifiers.
