The Vietnamese women's volleyball team could not win a ticket to the semi-finals of the Future Stars 2024 friendly tournament after matches with unsatisfactory results.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team only got 2 points from the 3-2 win over U21 Elite Canada, then lost to the Shanghai youth team and Red Sparks (Korea) with the same score of 1-3.
According to the match schedule, Bich Tuyen and her teammates will compete in the 5-8 classification match and the first opponent is Air Asia club (Thailand).
In the group stage, Air Asia ranked 3rd in Group A with 3 points. They had a 3-1 victory over France U22, but lost to China U17 with a score of 0-3 and Sesi VC (Brazil) with a score of 1-3.
In terms of strength, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is considered better than its opponents. However, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team are not allowed to be subjective like in previous matches.
Bich Tuyen, Tu Linh, Khanh Dang or Nguyen Trinh need high concentration and improve step 1 to avoid unfortunate loss of points in the upcoming match.
The Future Stars 2024 tournament will only broadcast live matches of two Chinese teams (Chinese U17 and Shanghai youth), the remaining matches will not be broadcast.
In the final round, the matches will be broadcast live on the weibo channel of the Shanghai Volleyball Association.
Therefore, the match between the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and Air Asia at 1:00 p.m. today (July 26) will not be broadcast live. The match results will be updated to readers by Lao Dong Newspaper as soon as possible.
