Latest forecast on gasoline prices in tomorrow's operating session

It is forecasted that in tomorrow's price adjustment session (September 11), gasoline prices may fluctuate in different directions.

According to a survey at 2:49 p.m. on September 10, world oil prices increased simultaneously. WTI crude oil prices increased by 0.48 USD/barrel (up 0.77%), to 63.11 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.49 USD/barrel (up 0.74%), to 66.88 USD/barrel.

For domestic gasoline prices, the Machine Learning gasoline price forecasting model of the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) shows that in the adjustment period on September 11, 2025, retail gasoline prices may only decrease slightly by 0.2 - 0.5% compared to the previous adjustment period, if the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade does not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.

According to Mr. Doan Tien Quyet - VPI's data analysis expert, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline may decrease by 101 VND/liter (0.5%) to 19,749 VND/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline may decrease by only 45 VND (0.2%) to 20,385 VND/liter.

VPI's model also predicts that retail oil prices will increase and decrease in opposite directions during this period. Accordingly, mazut prices may decrease by 2.8% to VND 14,940/kg, while diesel prices increased slightly by 1.1% to VND 18,673/liter and kerosene increased slightly by 0.2% to VND 18,347/liter.

VPI forecasts that the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund this period.

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price management period, retail prices of gasoline may have opposite adjustments in the direction of decreasing gasoline prices and increasing oil prices.

In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 0-50 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 50-100 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 150-200 VND/liter.

In the adjustment session last week (September 4), the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19,55/liter (up VND80/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND 20,439/liter (up VND 76/liter).

Prices of oil products have also increased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND18,473/liter (up VND116/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND18,314/liter (up VND89/liter).
