Judgment and forecast
The price of domestic pepper is on the momentum of recovery after the slowdown due to the influence of the US information expected to apply the reciprocal tax 46% for Vietnamese goods, including pepper items. As soon as Washington announced its postponement of deploying this tax within 90 days, the purchasing activities from international importers immediately were excited again.
Tax postponement movements not only help relieve psychological waiting in the market, but also promote import enterprises to promote transactions to avoid cost risks after the extension of the extension ends.
However, in Vietnam, the supply is being narrowed by the production of the 2025 crop pepper. This development is pushing the price of domestic pepper on the increase and is expected to soon approach 160,000 VND/kg.
