Assessment and forecast
Immediately after the US announced a 30-day counterpart tax postponement, the US market was resumed, many businesses took advantage of the 10% stable tax period to export goods. The vibrant export market has caused domestic pepper prices to increase.
This growth comes not only from domestic consumption demand but also from increased export demand, especially in the context of large markets such as the US, EU and China maintaining high demand for Vietnamese consumption.
In addition, the quality factor also plays an important role. This year's pepper harvest season is considered to be of high quality, with pepper meeting export standards, helping products easily penetrate international markets.
According to statistics from Vietnam Customs, the average export price of black pepper in March 2025 is 6,711 USD/ton, white pepper is 8,617 USD/ton, an increase of nearly 95% and 74% over the same period last year.
