Domestic pepper prices: Extending the chain of stagnant days
As of 11:30 today (September 19), the domestic pepper market has continued to stand still, averaging 148,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price ranges from 147,000 - 150,000 VND/kg.
The transaction price remains unchanged, currently the areas are listed as follows:
The same mark of 147,000 VND/kg was set by Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces. This is also the lowest price in the country at the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City is at 149,000 VND/kg. Dak Lak and Lam Dong are trading at 150,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: Decreased in Indonesia
In the world market, pepper prices are mostly stable in the regions. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - unexpectedly decreased by 0.41%. Currently, these two items are traded between 7,061 - 10,006 USD/ton (equivalent to 186,729 VND/kg - 264,609 VND/kg).
On the other hand, the Brazilian market maintained a high price threshold, currently trading at 6,600 USD/ton (about 174,537 VND/kg). In the same direction, Malaysia's black and white pepper traded at high prices, reaching 12,900 USD/ton and 9,700 USD/ton.
In the pepper export market of Vietnam, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l is stable, anchored at 6,600 - 6,800 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices remain high, currently standing at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,617 VND/kg).
