Assessment and forecast
From an export perspective, the offering price of Vietnamese export spices remains high compared to the average of many years ago, helping businesses have room to buy.
In the short term, the price of 149,000-150,000 VND/kg is helping many owners of growing areas to cover costs and have resources for reinvestment. Considering the risk factors, the batch of goods that are wet or damaged by flooding can be heavily deducted, while the increased cost of drying and preserving will erode the real profits.
Some experts in the industry have recommended selling in batches, prioritizing export to shipments that meet export standards and carefully preserving the remaining output instead of releasing it into large quantities.
