The 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day contributes to affirming the journey of accompanying the nation and promoting innovation.

On the morning of June 17, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Journalists Association held a press conference to introduce key activities of the press community on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026) from June 19-21, 2026 at the Hai Phong City Conference - Performance Center.

Former Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi chaired the press conference.

Key activities include the 2026 National Press Festival; 2026 National Press Forum; Commemorating the 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day and the 20th National Press Awards Ceremony; Finals and Awards Ceremony of the "Extended Voices of Journalists" Contest in 2026.

This is an important political - professional event for journalists nationwide, organized in the context that the entire industry is implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, promoting the building of a professional, humane, modern Vietnamese revolutionary press and implementing the Strategy for Digital Transformation of Journalism to 2030.

At the same time, it is a forum to connect, share experiences, promote innovation, digital transformation and affirm the pioneering role of journalism in the new era of national development.

The 2026 National Press Festival with the theme "Vietnamese Press - Loyalty, Creativity, Responsibility in the New Era" has the participation of 66 units, press agencies and Journalists Associations at all levels nationwide.

A total of 87 booths, divided into a central area, a key press area, a Hai Phong city area, a press association area at all levels, and an outdoor display area.

The exhibition space is built as a journey connecting tradition and future, introducing the outstanding achievements of Vietnamese journalism in more than a century of development; reflecting the role of journalism in the cause of Party building, protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, accompanying the development of the country and international integration.

The 20th National Press Award Ceremony is a special highlight in a series of activities to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day. This is the highest professional award of the country's press, held annually to honor authors and groups of authors with outstanding works, making outstanding contributions to the revolutionary press cause.

This year, the National Press Award Council selected 123 excellent works to award prizes, including 11 A prizes, 26 B prizes, 50 C prizes and 36 consolation prizes of 13 types of prizes.

The honored works vividly reflect the major issues of the country, contributing to building social consensus and strengthening people's trust.

In particular, 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the National Press Award, so the Award Ceremony is not only an occasion to honor but also an opportunity to review the 20-year journey of accompanying the country's development, affirming the pioneering role of revolutionary journalism in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

The 20th National Press Awards ceremony will take place at 8:00 PM on June 21, 2026 at the Hoa Phuong Do Theater, Hai Phong City Conference - Performance Center.

Continuing the success of the National Press Forum 2025, this year the Vietnam Journalists Association continues to organize the National Press Forum 2026 taking place from June 19-20, with the participation of delegates who are leaders of press agencies, journalists, speakers, and reputable media experts.

The Final of the "Extended Singing Contest for Journalists - Year 2026" is not only a unique cultural and spiritual event but also a valuable opportunity for journalists across the country to exchange, show artistic talents, enhance understanding, and strengthen colleagueship.

The highlight of this year's season is that in the Final night, there will be exchanges and competitions of journalists from Journalists Associations of friendly countries: Laos, Thailand and Cambodia.

The judges have judged the Preliminary Round, selecting 25 performances for the Online Round. The judges judged the online round and selected 19 performances to enter the Final Round.
