On the afternoon of April 3, Can Tho City Party Secretary Le Quang Tung, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen and representatives of departments, committees, and branches inspected the progress of the Lo Vong Cung historical relic area project.

According to the Can Tho City Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board (PMB), the total area of 28 ha includes 4 Zones A, B, C, D, including: Memorial Area (Zone A): 6.54 ha; Relic Area (Zone B): 8.71 ha; Management - Operation Area (Zone C): 6.41 ha; Resettlement Area (Zone D): 7.19 ha.
Zone A (Memorial Area) has been deployed for construction and is divided into 2 implementation phases.
Phase 1, sponsored by the Group, has completed the construction of items such as the memorial temple, ceremonial yard (main temple), main gate (main temple), relic stele. Total investment is about 100 billion VND.
Phase 2 has a total investment of about 101 billion VND. Currently, items such as rest houses, main gates, fences, flagpoles, river and canal embankments, leveling ground, internal roads, ceremonial yards, walking paths, green trees, technical infrastructure, equipment items... are being implemented. Up to now, the progress has reached about 70%, striving to complete this year.

Area B (Relic Area) has an area of 8.71 ha, expected to include items serving the recreation of historical events. The area is adjacent to Rach Ke and Nguyen Van Cu street. No detailed planning; the current status of people's land has not been cleared for resettlement support.
Zone C (Management and Operation Zone) has an area of 6.4 ha, adjacent to Rach Ke (top canal) and Nguyen Van Cu street. This area is expected to include management, operation and tourism exploitation works, with a density of use of about 150 people. Currently, it has not been invested, and there is no detailed planning. The current status of people's land has not been cleared for resettlement support.

Area D (Resettlement Area Project), with a total investment of more than 519 billion VND, land area of 7.54 ha, the number of plots arranged is 360 plots. The planned land area is located in An Binh ward, Can Tho City. Up to now, the policy has been approved in document No. 1148/QD-UBND, dated March 23, 2026. Project appraisal has been submitted, dated March 27, 2026; project approval is expected at the end of April, construction starts at the end of June.
At the inspection, Can Tho City Party Secretary Le Quang Tung requested to continue to study more about the design around the campus, arranging the display area; continue to advise on seeking opinions from leaders, veteran revolutionary cadres, and resistance cadres through various periods.
City leaders are also interested in connecting the Lo Vong Cung Historical Relic Area with relics and famous tourist addresses of Can Tho.
