On February 18, the People's Council of Binh Dinh province held the 21st Session (3rd thematic session during the term) to review and approve a number of Resolutions on merging and establishing specialized agencies under the People's Committee.
Implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW on completing the plan to reorganize and streamline the organization of specialized agencies under the People's Committees at the provincial and district levels, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has issued a Project to reorganize and streamline the apparatus of agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, ensuring the goal of multi-sectoral, multi-field management and restructuring the organization to improve operational efficiency.
At the meeting, the People's Council of Binh Dinh province passed a Resolution on the establishment of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, including: Department of Finance, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.

After the arrangement, Binh Dinh province will have 14 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee (reducing 6/20 agencies, reaching a rate of 30%).
The People's Council of Binh Dinh province also passed a Resolution to merge the Ethnic Committee with the Culture - Social Committee, the Provincial People's Council, renaming it the Culture - Social Committee, the People's Council of Binh Dinh province.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Dinh province directed that new departments and branches must start operating from March 1, 2025. For agencies not subject to reorganization, the province will reduce the number of units by at least 15%. For merged and reorganized agencies according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, Binh Dinh province will reduce at least 35% of units.
"The People's Committee of Binh Dinh province needs to focus highly, all levels and sectors must establish departments and branches according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council approved, including the reorganization of the internal organization, to be completed before February 20.
Departments and branches must soon stabilize and come into operation in accordance with the direction of the Central Government, ensuring smooth traffic, without interruption or delay," Mr. Ho Quoc Dung suggested.
