Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang sent a letter to Infantry Regiment 4, Infantry Division 5, Military Region 7 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its Traditional Day.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the 4th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division, Military Region 7 (February 3, 1965 - February 3, 2025), on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense - sent a congratulatory letter to generations of officers, professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the 4th Infantry Regiment.

The letter of General Phan Van Giang stated that after 60 years of building, fighting and growing, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Party Committee, the Military Region 7 Command, directly the Party Committee and the Command of the 5th Infantry Division; with the attention and enthusiastic support of the Party Committees, authorities and people of localities; with the close and effective coordination and cooperation of agencies and units inside and outside the Army; generations of officers, professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the 4th Infantry Regiment have promoted the good nature and glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army;

Solidarity, intelligence, resilience, many outstanding achievements in combat, excellent completion of training tasks, combat readiness, drills, competitions, sports, participation in protecting the southwestern border and performing international duties; actively participating in building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction in the stationed area, actively contributing to the cause of national liberation struggle, building and firmly defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, twice awarded the title of Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and State and many noble awards.

"I warmly commend and praise the achievements, progress and maturity of the 4th Infantry Regiment over the past 60 years. I hope that in the new revolutionary period, you comrades will continue to promote the achievements you have made, the tradition of "Resiliently holding on, glorious feats of arms", promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the Campaign to promote traditions, contribute talents, worthy of the title "Uncle Ho's soldiers", and excellently complete all assigned tasks;

"Building a clean and strong Party organization is associated with building a comprehensively strong unit that is "Exemplary and typical", contributing with the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, building a prosperous and happy country" - General Phan Van Giang's letter stated.
