On January 26, the Ministry of National Defense said that this agency had just sent a document responding to voters in Binh Phuoc province's petition to support people in residential areas adjacent to the border.
Accordingly, the Ministry of National Defense received a petition from voters of Binh Phuoc province sent by the Government Office under Official Dispatch No. 8502/VPCP-QHDP dated November 20, 2024, with the content: "Binh Phuoc province has built residential areas adjacent to the border and has brought people to live there, however, the process of implementing support policies for people at points adjacent to the border area still faces many difficulties. It is recommended that the Government consider issuing policies for people who are brought to settle in the border area to be supported with residential land, production land; access to business capital sources to create conditions for stabilizing their lives".
Responding to this content, the Ministry of National Defense said that on April 1, 2019, Military Region 7 issued Decision No. 811/QD-BTL on the "Project to build residential areas adjacent to Border Militia Posts in the Military Region for the period 2019-2025".
Up to now, the entire Military Region has built and put into operation permanent border militia posts, including posts attached to adjacent residential areas (Binh Phuoc province alone has 7 posts attached to adjacent residential areas).
However, the process of implementing support policies for people in residential areas adjacent to border areas still faces many difficulties and shortcomings.
The Ministry of National Defense continues to direct Military Region 7 and the Military Command of Binh Phuoc province to advise and propose to local Party committees and authorities to gradually resolve difficulties of people in adjacent residential areas, helping people stabilize their lives.
