Starting from July 1, the Law on E-commerce (amended) officially takes effect.
This law stipulates policies on e-commerce development; e-commerce platforms and responsibilities of organizations and individuals in e-commerce activities.
The law stipulates e-commerce with foreign elements; responsibilities of organizations providing e-commerce support services; application of technology in management and handling of violations in e-commerce.
The law also clearly stipulates that the e-commerce management system is a system built, managed, operated, and exploited synchronously and uniformly by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, developing e-commerce, connected to the National Public Service Portal.
The e-commerce management system has functions such as: Receiving, processing, and returning online administrative procedure results in the e-commerce sector nationwide.
Receiving and resolving reflections, requests, and complaints from organizations and individuals about e-commerce platforms, sellers, and organizations providing e-commerce support services that violate the law.
At the same time, supervise, analyze, and warn of risks in e-commerce activities; receive and process e-commerce reports and statistics.
This management system also publishes a list of e-commerce platforms that have been confirmed for notification and registration; a list of organizations providing e-contract authentication services in commerce that have been licensed.
Along with that is the announcement of a list of e-commerce platforms, sellers, and organizations providing e-commerce support services that violate the law.
