Mr. Tran Van Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Head of the Government Office - had a working session in Thai Binh province.

On the afternoon of March 14, a working delegation of members of the Government led by Mr. Tran Van Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Head of the Government Office - had a working session with Thai Binh province on the implementation of growth scenarios in 2025; disbursement of public investment capital, import-export, infrastructure construction, social housing; emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and national target programs in the area.

At the meeting, representatives of Thai Binh province's leaders reported to Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son and the working delegation about the socio-economic development results that the province has achieved in the first two months of 2025.

Accordingly, in the first 2 months of 2025, the socio-economic situation of Thai Binh province is basically stable and has achieved some positive results. The work of leading, directing and operating socio-economic development has been vigorously implemented since the beginning of the year, proactively, flexibly, with focus and key points.

The industrial - construction sector has grown steadily. The value of industrial production is estimated at nearly VND18,000 billion, up 16.92% over the same period in 2024. The trade and service sector continues to grow.

Along with that, the province also directed to improve the responsibility for handling administrative procedures on investment, business registration, land, construction, environment and related procedures.

As of February 21, Thai Binh province has approved and adjusted the investment policies of 33 projects with a total newly registered capital and increased by VND 2,979.1 billion, of which FDI capital reached USD 103.37 million.

To date, the province has planned 66 land plots with a total area of about 137 hectares, with a total of about 46,881 apartments for social housing development; there are 8 social housing projects with a total of 1,753 apartments that have been invested in and completed.

According to the approved housing development plan of Thai Binh province until 2025, it is expected to implement investment in 24 social housing development projects with a total area of about 62.30 hectares and a number of apartments of about 15,537 apartments.

For key projects in the area, the province focuses on directing the implementation of including: Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway Project, section through Nam Dinh and Thai Binh provinces (CT.08), VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment, Construction and Business Project, Hai Long Industrial Park Project, Hung Phu Industrial Park Project, Thai Binh LNG Thermal Power Plant Project, Thai Binh Province Coastal Road Project, Pharmaceutical - Biological Industrial Park Project in Quynh Phu District...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Head of the Government Office - acknowledged and highly appreciated the socio-economic development results of Thai Binh province.

At the same time, he welcomed the province with high political determination, determined to proactively implement solutions to achieve the economic growth target of 10.5% in 2025.

Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son also affirmed that Thai Binh province meets all the conditions to achieve the double-digit economic growth target in 2025.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Minister and Head of the Government Office suggested that Thai Binh province continue to perform well a number of key tasks such as: Accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital; actively clearing land to serve the start-up of key projects of the province in 2025; synchronously implementing the solutions set out in the double-digit growth scenario of the province; continuing to review and coordinate with ministries and branches to remove difficulties related to projects; focusing on implementing inter-regional transport projects to expand space and room for economic development.

Along with that, Thai Binh continues to research, plan and implement the construction of social housing projects, meet future housing needs as well as focus all resources, strive to complete the construction and repair of houses for poor households, near-poor households, families of meritorious people, ensure progress according to the set goals...

Continue to pay attention to investing in upgrading shared information infrastructure and databases, improving the quality and efficiency of handling administrative procedures in a synchronous and smooth manner, creating convenience for people and businesses.

Giving specific comments on a number of recommendations and proposals of Thai Binh province, the Minister and Head of the Government Office requested relevant agencies under ministries, departments and central branches to fully absorb the contents of the province's recommendations and proposals.

On that basis, synthesize and report to the Government and the Prime Minister to study and consider solutions to unblock bottlenecks, remove difficulties and obstacles, facilitate Thai Binh in socio-economic development activities and attract investment.
