This afternoon (July 31), President To Lam had a meeting with agencies on emulation and reward work in the past, as well as the direction of tasks in the future, according to the Office of the President.
The report at the meeting said that from 2021 up to now, across the country, 7 emulation movements have been launched by the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council.
The Council organized a conference to praise and honor advanced examples nationwide, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023). Ministries, departments, branches and localities have developed plans and deployed propaganda; Organize many activities to promptly motivate, encourage and replicate good examples, through many forms.
At the working session, President To Lam said that emulation and reward work must create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, arousing trust and pride in officials, party members and people to strive to complete the work. Complete tasks with the highest quality, positively contributing to the overall development of the country. In particular, the reward work must be substantive, right for the right person, for the right job, not too mechanical and worthy of contributions.
Create an exciting atmosphere, encourage competition, and reward
President To Lam stated that in 2025 there will be many events to celebrate major holidays of the Party, country and nation such as: 95 years of Party founding; 50 years of completely liberating the South and reunifying the country; 80 years of the successful August Revolution and National Day 2.9; In 2025, there will be an even anniversary date for most ministries, branches and many localities throughout the country... posing many tasks with emulation and reward work.
President To Lam affirmed that the country is increasingly developing and achieving more and more, it is necessary to create an exciting atmosphere, encourage emulation, and reward the contributions of officials and people and therefore, the public. Emulation and reward practices need to be reviewed to be closer to reality.
On the other hand, many veteran cadres have made many contributions to the revolution, many officers and soldiers have made many contributions to the Fatherland, but the work of commendation still has problems and has not been resolved. Therefore, President To Lam requested to focus on removing difficulties and finding reasonable solutions to cases of commendation for organizations and individuals with achievements in the resistance caused by customers. officials have not been able to do it.
Along with that, the 40-year process of innovation also poses many problems for emulation and rewards in production and innovation.
The President praised the Ministry of Home Affairs for providing timely statistics and reports evaluating emulation and reward work; Agree with 4 tasks on emulation and commendation proposed by the Ministry of Home Affairs; Appreciate the spirit, responsibility and positive contributions of the Council members.
The President also requested the Central Emulation and Commendation Council to advise and propose to the Politburo to issue new directives for emulation and commendation work, in which attention should be paid not only to emulation and commendation. for the next congress term, it is necessary to aim to emulate and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Pay attention to emulation and reward work aimed at honoring the contributions of officials and people.
