On the morning of February 8th (ie, December 21st of the year At Ty), within the framework of the Homeland Spring 2026 program, President Luong Cuong and his wife, along with typical overseas Vietnamese delegates, performed the carp release ceremony at Ngoc Son Temple (Hanoi), praying for national prosperity, people's peace, and the country firmly moving on the path of integration and development.
The incense offering ceremony and carp release within the framework of the Homeland Spring program takes place when there are only a few days left until the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month, the day of sending off Ong Cong and Ong Tao to heaven.


Also on the morning of February 8, President Luong Cuong and his wife, along with representatives of leaders of ministries, departments, central agencies, Hanoi City and 100 outstanding overseas Vietnamese delegates, performed incense offering ceremonies at the Statue of King Ly Thai To and Ngoc Son Temple.
Previously, the typical overseas Vietnamese delegation visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, laid wreaths at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi.



According to the program on the same evening, President Luong Cuong will wish Tet to overseas Vietnamese and beat the drum to open the Spring Festival in the Spring Homeland Art Exchange Program 2026 at the National Convention Center for all overseas Vietnamese to attend.
The "Homeland Spring 2026" program is annually organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, contributing to spreading the message about the great national unity bloc, in which the overseas Vietnamese community is an inseparable part, always accompanying the Fatherland;
At the same time, continue to clearly express the feelings and responsibilities of the Party and State in caring for the Vietnamese community abroad, promoting patriotism, looking towards the roots, encouraging overseas Vietnamese to preserve the cultural identity, traditions, and language of the nation; spreading belief and arousing aspirations to contribute to the sustainable development of the country in the new period.



The Homeland Spring 2026 program with the theme "Vietnam's Aspiration: Peace, Prosperity" takes place from February 6-9 (ie December 19-22 of the lunar calendar), in Hanoi and connects Ninh Binh with the participation of about 1,500 overseas Vietnamese.
The program takes place in the context of the 14th National Party Congress being successfully held, opening up a new stage of development with a proactive, confident and ambitious mindset of the country.
